Hey Tiana

I think some of your shots here are great. In some cases I think your camera movement is a bit distracting. Do you have any more ‘still’ footage?

Your music is really intense for what is happening on screen. Why don’t you play around with some of the soundtracks below and see how it changes the suspense build?

Libby is a great actress! She looks genuinely worried and concerned. Us as the audience don’t have any insight into why we see a house in the beginning as an establishing shot and then it doesn’t feature again. Do you want to have the mum calling out that it’s nearly time to come in?

I would have Libby’s audio recorded of her yelling back that she is going to find the cat, something like, “I can’t come in until I find ____” Then at least it gives the audience an understanding of why this girl is walking around scared in her garden.

Does she hear noises? Does she see something scary that puts her on edge? You just need to choose shots that help tell the story in an understandable way for the audience. You may need to record some extra sound or even some bridging pieces of footage to help bring the story to life a bit more clearly.

Another way to do this would be to have some point of view shots from the POV of the scary guy in the forest, maybe when you have those shots, include breathing sound FX and footstep sound???

What about looking at this fog / smoke after effect? Could also be cool for the swing shots?
